What we observe is not nature itself,
but nature exposed to our method of questioning. -
Werner Heisenberg

I am introducing myself with a quote, which I like a lot, by Werner Heisenberg. So, in case you see something unusual on this website, you know what to change. :-)

This is my personal website and personal information arena. For those of you who are interested, here is a brief about me section.

Education

I am a computer science student who has graduated as M.S. from The City College of New York (2008). Currently, I am enrolled in PhD program at City University of New York (CUNY).

Work

I work with Prof. Ravindran at the Distributed Computing and Networks Laboratory at CCNY as his research assistant and work for the Computer Science department as a Teaching Aide.

I love to explore new technologies and currently I have extreme passion for Web Standards and Web based applications. I have an itch to test the various API’s out there and I seriously wish I could do something with every possible API available.(!) Image Processing also interests me big time and I have performed various algorithms on Image Processing and 3D Computer Vision.

Places

I was born and brought up at a place close to Thar desert in India called Chittorgarh. Right now, my hometown is Udaipur which is the 7th best place to visit of the year 2007. I call it my hometown as it is my parents’ residence. I have also lived in Bangalore, the famous tech city of India for about a year where I joined my first job as a software developer.
Currently, I am in New York and this is the first time I am out of my own country, India.

Interests

Machines, gadgets, the Web, performing stage drama and One Act Plays, keyboard, driving cars and motor-bikes, long discussions with friends and family, books - esp that connect Quantum Physics to human consciousness; See The Emperor’s New Mind and The Dancing Wu Li Masters. Another good book on Quantum Mysticism is The Tao of Physics.
